Project "Building climate resilience in the Pyanj river basin" on Gender Policy implementation relates to the first category, as "the effective implementation of gender" is carried out. The mission of the project and its key indicators clearly stipulate that 20 % of the total number of beneficiaries should be women. This is the most important item in order to prevent discrimination and improve balance. At this time, the relative share of recipients is 40 %. Various events and activities are also scheduled for the successful implementation of the Gender Policy. For example, within the framework of the project, ongoing trainings and education for improvement of knowledge, qualifications and skills of women in dealing with the climate resilience t are scheduled and being delivered on continuing basis. The approximate number of participants for such trainings will be about 400 women.
As well, in the framework of the Gender Policy and with the aim of improving knowledge of women regarding the use of irrigation a large number of seminars is planned. It is also important to give the women the basics of water and its proper use. In order to improve knowledge among women in the project, delivery of trainings and workshops with women is considered for purpose to expand the knowledge of women regarding the use of climate resilience and trainings on water using.
Delivery of group meetings and discussions with residents of remote villages and rural areas – is one of the goals of the Gender Policy of the project. The predominant number of participants of these events will be women. Participants will get the basics of information on green energy products such as solar panel, solar heaters, combined cookers and others. During discussion, the instructors will be talking about the details of obtaining a green loan financing and ensure the use of this energy in the household.
Also in the framework of the Gender Policy, constant questioning is held. Data received from clients are entered in a special database and being analyzed. In addition to the survey, individual interviews are planned with stakeholders and focus groups with women and other community members. In the course of these activities, data on the status of the gender situation is collected and disaggregated data on gender strategy is identified.
Another implementation line of the Gender Policy is increasing the level of qualifications of specialists working on the project.
